Whether you’re counting down to kickoff or just showing up for the snacks, football season has a way of bringing people together.

It’s that time of year where the local restaurants, breweries, and patios fill up with friends, families, and neighbors catching up over good food while the game plays in the background. Even if football isn’t really your thing, it’s a pretty good excuse to get out of the house and support some great local spots.

I asked around and here are a few places worth checking out this season! Some may have gameday specials so it’s worth calling ahead.

Looking for lots of TVs and a fun crowd? Moochies Tavern is hard to beat! Don’t sleep on those wings…ask for the Daytona flavor!

More interested in good food than who’s winning? The Grille at Franklin Court has a great atmosphere and a menu that’s worth the trip.

Want something a little more relaxed? Americana Beer Company is perfect for hanging out with friends while the game is on in the background. They stay open late, too!

One of my favorite things about this time of year isn’t actually the football.

It’s seeing local businesses buzzing, neighbors running into each other, and those places that slowly become part of your routine.

I say it all the time when I’m helping someone move here - people think they’re buying a house, but they’re really choosing a community. The coffee shop where they know your order. The restaurant where you celebrate birthdays. The patio where you spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon watching a game. That’s the stuff that makes a place feel like home.
