Thinking About Moving in 2027? Read This First.
There’s this little window in October that I think people underestimate.
Summer is over. School is back in a rhythm. Fall is officially here. But the holidays haven’t completely taken over our lives yet. We soak in the crisp temps and exhale a little inside.
Because we all know what happens next. Halloween turns into Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving turns into Christmas. It’s downhill after that baby butterfinger, and you and I both know it!
Then we blink and it’s New Year’s and if you’re thinking about selling in the spring, suddenly “next year” is HERE.
So if a move in 2027 has even crossed your mind, this is actually a really good time to start thinking about it. And I don’t mean getting your house ready to list. I mean figuring out what you would need to do IF you decide to sell.
It might just look like me coming over and walking through the house with you. I’ll tell you what I’d fix, what I’d paint, what I’d leave completely alone and, most importantly, where I absolutely would NOT spend money because the next owner is probably going to rip it out anyway.
Maybe there are a few projects you knock out over the winter. Maybe there’s absolutely nothing you need to do. Maybe we decide spring isn’t the right timing at all.
You don’t have to be ready to move. That’s kind of the point. Let me know if you’re up for it! I’ll be here.
