Save This for the Next Cold Night

It’s officially the time of year when I either want something warm in the crock pot or a giant bowl of soup and a piece of crusty bread that’s 75% butter!

So consider this my Union County cold weather public service announcement.

Here are a few places to know for those nights when you want dinner to feel homemade… but maybe not entirely homemade by YOU. Thought I would help out the community by hyping some of these options up!

Viva Chicken | Indian Trail

Their chicken soup is SO good, and this is one I actually get. Even better, you can buy it in the big containers to take home. Grab one, heat it up, add some bread and congratulations, you made dinner.

Village Grill | Monroe

Such a good little spot to have in your back pocket for seasonal soups and sandwiches. This is where I’d check when I want somebody else to do the cooking but I still want dinner to feel like real food.

Sweet & Cozy Bakery | Wesley Chapel

Go here for the CAKES, MUFFINS & PIE. Nostalgic sweet treats and coffee, including gluten free options.

East Frank Superette & Kitchen | Monroe

Soup, bread, sandwiches and a very cool atmosphere in downtown Monroe!

Whole Foods | Charlotte

Okay, not Union County but close enough! Sometimes we do not need charming. We need EASY. Grab soup from prepared foods, something good from the bakery and put it all in your own dishes when you get home. I won’t tell.

Now I need to know what I’m missing.

Where are you getting the BEST soup in the area? Bonus points if they’ll sell me enough of it to feed everybody at my house without me having to cook.

Hit reply and tell me. I’m willing to take one for the team and try them all.
